Nonprofit web design

Web design shaped by how nonprofits actually work.

Small teams. Multiple audiences. A budget that has to answer to a board. Nonprofit web design is a different discipline, and we practice it every day.

We design sites that serve donors and program participants at the same time — clear, accessible, and built on tools your team can maintain without another vendor on retainer.

Multi-audience by design

Donors, volunteers, participants, and funders each get a clear path — without cluttering the homepage.

WCAG 2.2 AA accessible

Accessibility isn't a plugin. It's baked into the design system, tested before launch, and documented for your team.

Plays with your stack

Givebutter, DonorBox, Bloomerang, Mailchimp, Planning Center — we integrate what you already pay for.

01

A strategy phase your executive director will actually read

Every engagement starts with a short strategy document — audience map, page priorities, primary conversions, and the story arc across the site. It's the working brief we design against, and it's short enough to share with your board.

02

Design systems, not one-off pages

Nonprofits ship new campaigns, events, and initiatives all year. We build reusable page templates and components so launching a new program page next quarter takes a coordinator, not a designer.

03

Content help, not content homework

We draft, edit, and structure the copy alongside the design. If you have a communications manager, we collaborate. If you don't, we carry it — so a website project doesn't turn into six months of writing tasks landing on your ED's desk.

04

Launch, train, and stay available

We ship with training, documentation, and a 30-day post-launch window for tweaks. From there, most partners move onto Platform Care — a low, predictable monthly rate for hosting, updates, and small improvements.

Common questions

What nonprofits usually ask.

What makes nonprofit web design different from regular web design?
Nonprofits juggle donors, volunteers, program participants, board members, and funders on one site. That means the information architecture, trust signals, and calls to action all work differently than a typical business site. We design with those audiences layered in from day one.
Do you work with small nonprofits and churches, or only large orgs?
Both. Roughly half of our clients are grassroots organizations with budgets under $500K, and half are established nonprofits and ministries with staff and multiple programs. We scope to fit the team you actually have.
Can you help us pick the right platform?
Yes. We recommend Webflow, WordPress, or Framer depending on your CMS needs, integrations, and who will maintain the site. Platform choice is part of discovery — not a decision we make in isolation.
Is the site going to be accessible (WCAG / ADA)?
Yes. Every site we ship is built to WCAG 2.2 AA: keyboard navigation, color contrast, semantic HTML, alt text guidance, and screen-reader testing before launch.
Do you handle hosting and updates after launch?
We offer Platform Care — hosting, security updates, backups, small design changes, and a monthly working session. Nonprofits who prefer to self-host can, and we'll leave you with everything you need.
